Design Import Club · The Founding Trip

Participant Terms

Guadalajara · February 16–19, 2027
Version dated October 19, 2026

These terms apply to everyone joining our founding trip to Guadalajara. Please read them before you pay. Checking the box at checkout confirms that you have read and agree to them.

1. Your seat and payment

Once you are accepted, a 50% non-refundable deposit reserves your seat. The remaining 50% is charged automatically to the card you paid with on December 18, 2026, 60 days before arrival. By agreeing to these terms, you authorize Design Import Club to make that charge. If you are paying by bank transfer, the balance is due by December 18, 2026.

2. If you cancel

Your deposit is non-refundable, because it covers hotel holds and commitments we make on your behalf. If you cancel before December 18, 2026, your second payment is waived. From December 18, 2026, all payments are non-refundable. We do not offer refunds or credits for late arrivals, early departures or missed parts of the itinerary.

3. Transferring your seat

If you can’t attend, you may transfer your seat to a colleague or another designer, with our written approval, at least 14 days before the trip. The new participant must accept these terms. Any payment between you and them is settled between you.

4. Changes and cancellation by us

We may adjust the itinerary, venues, guides or hotel to keep the trip running well, replacing anything with a similar alternative. If we cancel the trip for any reason, including events outside our control such as natural disasters, government restrictions, health emergencies or travel advisories, we will refund all trip payments you have made to us. We are not responsible for flights or other bookings you make separately, which is one more reason we recommend travel insurance.

5. Travel insurance and documents

We strongly recommend Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel insurance. You are responsible for your own flights, a valid passport (valid for at least six months after the trip), and any documents needed to enter Mexico.

6. Health and your needs

The trip involves a lot of walking at the Expo and in Tlaquepaque. Please tell us about any medical, dietary or mobility needs before the trip. You are responsible for your own health and medication. Participants must be 18 or older.

7. Risk and responsibility

You take part voluntarily and accept the usual risks of international travel, group transport, and walking through venues and workshops. Design Import Club and its founders act as hosts and organizers, and are not liable for illness, injury, loss, damage or delays caused by third parties, including airlines, hotels, transport providers and vendors. Please look after your personal belongings and purchases, and drink responsibly at hosted events.

8. Photos and video

We take photos and video during the trip and may use them on our website and social media. If you prefer not to appear, let us know in writing before the trip.

9. Conduct

We want the group to feel warm, respectful and collaborative. We may remove anyone whose behavior puts others at risk or seriously affects the group, without a refund.

10. Questions or concerns

If something isn’t right, contact us at hello@designimportclub.com first and we will work to resolve it. You agree to reach out to us before disputing any charge with your card provider.

11. Agreeing to these terms

Checking the box when you pay counts as your agreement to these terms, including the December 18, 2026 balance charge. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
